The dangers of a single story

According to the video we watched last week, we heard an  African women  talking of the dangers of a single stories. But...
What are the dangers of a single stories in my life?
When people read or hear an event or a story of somebody of a country, they always stay with the first thing they get to know about them they don't keep on investigating on the theme. So when they want to talk about it with some person, they only have THAT information instead of knowing different points of view or different stories.
We have single stories in our daily life. For example, some people read an article that they found in a blog in the internet of our president, and they don't know if r that happened or not really, but they start believing that  that happened and they start saying that they hate her. But, How can you say that you know her if you only read one point of view? You have to read many points of views to start opinion. So you should read the points of view of somebody that is kirchnerista and of somebody that is on the other side.
Another example it could be when we look information that the teacher ask for and we only look in one page and we don't read the other ones and also we don't know check  is that is true or not! In Wikipedia you can edit the text, and you can put an uncertain fact that is not true.
If we continue like this, I think that in some years we are going to be stupid people  and we wont like to have open talks of nothing because we love "single story's",So if we start reading and knowing more about what we are talking we are going to make a better world better people and communications.
I want to end with a phrase she said that call my attention: "The problem with stereotypes isn't they aren't true, its they are incomplete
